Kimberly Williams, CPA, CGMA
Kimberly is the Leader and President of our firm. She has over 16 years in public accounting. She started the firm in 2012 with an office in Incline Village and Reno. She provides the leadership for our team and uses her expertise to advise high net worth individuals, small businesses, trusts and starting in 2021, a holistic approach to your life and how your finances are an important tool in many of your life decisions.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at California State University, Fullerton, and started her career with Deloitte & Touche (Deloitte.) in Orange County, California. In 2007, she returned to the Reno area for a short term assignment with Deloitte and never went back. Kimberly is a Nevada native and has spent most of her life in the Reno/Tahoe area.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, the many, many outdoor activities available in our beautiful region and disc golfing in particular. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mario Frugoli, CPA
Mario brings more than 50 years of experience to our firm. He provides exceptional tax preparation services to our individual, small business and trust clients.
Mario received his CPA license in 1970. After serving in the Army, he started his accounting career with Pannell, Kerr, Forrester, and in 1985 join Crandall Chartered. In 2012, Mario joined his years of knowledge with Kimberly at Frushon Accounting and Business Services, Inc. Mario is a Nevada native and has spent most of his life in the Reno/Sparks area.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, hunting and his many Model A trips. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Catrina Cherry, Firm Administrator
Catrina came to Frushon in the summer of 2018. Her position involves… well, what doesn’t it involve? From contacting clients, answering phones, making appointments, gathering client info and gently nudging Kimberly; she is the safety net helping to making sure nothing falls through the cracks in-between deadlines. Catrina prides herself in stellar customer service, anticipating and coordinating to accommodate coworkers’ and clients’ needs.
Born and raised in Reno, she graduated from UNR with a Bachelors in Finance. Catrina brings with her a wealth in financial knowledge from her prior roles in the financial planning and investing world. This background sets Catrina apart in that she maintains the organizational structure with a consummate knowledge of the business.
She has two young daughters and is happily married. She loves her family, animals (mostly cats), nature (camping, boating, hiking, and not skiing), competitive sports (participating and watching), traveling and a nice glass of wine (while watching The Real Housewives). Optimistic, resourceful, punctilious, honest (and slightly sarcastic) – If you need something done, Catrina is your woman.
Sarah Vacchina, Quickbooks ProAdvisor
Sarah came to work for Frushon Accounting in 2020 after graduating from Western Nevada College with an associate’s degree in business, as well as a certificate in bookkeeping. She was born and raised in Nevada, where she has spent most of her life (except for a few years where she moved to Utah, but it was a short stay because her love of Nevada brought her home).
With her addition to the Frushon Accounting family, she continues to increase her bookkeeping skills by adding fund-based accounting and becoming certified in QuickBooks Online https://proadvisor.intuit.com/app/accountant/search?searchId=sarah-vacchina. She continues to incorporate and expand her knowledge to the many different kinds of companies serviced by Frushon Accounting and Business Services, Inc. She enjoys the various challenges of bookkeeping because with each new company she works with, she gains more knowledge, and learns that every company is different and unique.
Sarah enjoys spending her days walking trails, talking with her friends from dusk till dawn, (or the other around) and geeking out playing the latest videogame (which might include exploring the vast ocean of Subnatica, solving puzzles in Zelda or working on her aim in the next first-person shooter).
Jose M Mata Rodriguez
Born and raised in Reno, NV, Jose graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance majors. That is after a small detour to Denver, CO, where he graduated from Johnson & Wales University with an Associate of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. Jose is currently working towards certifying for public and management accounting. Jose was introduced to Frushon Accounting & Business Services, INC, as a tax intern in early 2020. Later, he was tantalized with the opportunity to return as a new tax professional; ready and eager to learn from tax experts Kimberly and Mario. Outside of his work and study time Jose likes to spend time with his favorite girl; Esme, his kid sister. They like to play board games, fly kites, work on crafts, and just have fun together. Jose is fond of the furry companionship from his cat Lucky, and his sweet dog Sugar. Jose is always looking to utilize his baking knowledge. Whether it is baking for family birthdays and gatherings, or making his favorite treats to do (some) sharing with. Don’t feel timid if you want to ask for tips on perfecting your favorite dessert.
